Work has started on a 2.3 release of DBReplicator. It's become obvious that certain changes are necessary to further the project, and some of these require database changes. In keeping with the project's stated release numbering policy, changes affecting the database or user interface will get a new major version, thus the 2.3 release is born. Version 2.2 is branched in cvs, to allow for patches to the 2.2 code while forward movement is made on a new and improved version in the main trunk.

DBReplicator version 2.2.4 is released! This version includes many small tweaks to fix user-submitted errors, and a few performance enhancements deemed necessary after field testing. Specifically, snapshot creation on the publisher is now MUCH faster with large datasets.

The DBReplicator homepage is still under development, and new features and content will continue to be added all the time. Please be patient if the site layout changes for you between visits, and be sure to check back at regular intervals or subscribe to RSS feeds to stay up-to-date with developments and announcements.

Finally, after much procrastination, the dbreplicator project has released its first public version. This enables multi-master database replication between a variety of RDBMS's, and contains many performance enhancements over its predecessor. Key improvements include improved conflict handling, improved memory handling resulting in reduced memory requirements, faster sync and snapshots, cleanup of old shadow records, proper handling of columns with special characters, fixes to update trigger creation, a linux server mode (starting dbreplicator as a service) and debian packaging.

The DBReplicator project is a fork from the GPL'd version 2.1 of Daffodil Replicator. Many bug fixes solving issues presented on the Daffodil Replicator forums and others not presented are included, as well as significant performance enhancements.
